Seminars
CONTACT & COVER: Two-Officer
Suspect Control
- • We typically team-teach the Contact & Cover training
seminar in four-hour blocks, with two hours for classroom work
and two hours for controlled field exercises (simulated car and
ped stops, arrests, searches, etc.).
- • We can manage up to 20 officers per session.
- • For each participant, we will provide: two Contact &
Cover article handouts and a pocket-sized Contact & Cover
Field Guide Card.
- • For the classroom, we use a set of PPT slides and two
Contact & Cover videos. We will provide a laptop and projector;
we will need a screen and a VCR/TV.
<
- • We can provide as many paperback Contact & Cover
textbooks that your agency will need for the participants, at
$19.00 per copy.
- • For the field session, we will need a quiet, safe, and
(preferably indoor/cool) place to work. We will need one patrol
car and one normal car. These will be parked and will not be driven
or moved during the training.
- • We will provide two red guns for the training. Officers
should wear comfortable clothes (or their uniforms). There will
be NO loaded weapons, ammo, or impact weapon use in the field
training environment. We will simulate handcuffing.
- • Fee: $3000 for two four-hour sessions, $2000 for one
four-hour session. Travel is billed at cost.
